Restaurant Review: Tiffany’s Blue Box Cafe, Harrods, London

Dive into the iconic blue atmosphere and have your Holly Golightly moment at Harrods, the Tiffany Blue Box Cafe has now reopened after the lockdown. Here’s a glimpse into the afternoon tea selection available.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here. I booked my afternoon tea on OpenTable and went on Tuesday to avoid a crazy queue and crowds.

Before the afternoon tea, we received some complimentary prawn cocktail appetisers (below).

Sandwich selections include: Classic English cucumber and pink peppercorn, egg and black truffle, smoked salmon and a warm parmesan madeleine. My personal favourite is always the cucumber.

From Left: The big apple: The Big Apple pastry which is a bite-size reinvented apple pie, New York cheesecake, dark chocolate cake square and the Tiffany blue egg, a lemon curd pastry with mascarpone cheese.

Overall experience was nice, however the service was a little bit hostile, an hour after sitting in and having afternoon tea, as we decided to order more food, we were informed that it had finished. The staff could have reached out and asked if we could have wanted more food before ending the afternoon tea service.

Overall experience? Is it worth the price and many weeks of booking in advance? If you are truly a fan of Tiffany & Co or adore the film Breakfast at Tiffany’s then this will be your forte.

The scones were delightful alongside with the food but the lack of natural light, claustrophobic box-like atmosphere in Harrods’ ground-floor and higher expectations with service will leave me to only give this experience 2/5 stars.
